Many people look forward to the next salmon fishing season in 2010. Returning predictions for some rivers in around Mid Vancouver Island and get excited fisherman Wasthington much. A beginning March Salmon derby in Barclay Sound on Vancouver Island saw the biggest salmon in 27 years, and not only that, but the largest amount of salmon over 20 pounds in seen during the 27-year history of the derby.
With this large salmon early in the year means that later in the summer many larger salmon than normal. Chinook salmon are generally about 5-10 lbs during the winter months. This year, most fishermen most Chinook salmon salmon as 12-15 pounds that double the average size reporting.2009 also saw some great size in the early season on fisheries and the size continued throughout the summer. because most of the salmon caught this year are more than 10 pounds, fisherman are giddy with excitement for the 2010 season.
Fishing for big Chinook carefully in may, June, July and August are around the Barclay Sound area instead of simply July and August as is usually the case. While the bad economy had less general visser from last summer, this summer fisherman are doing everything they can to ensure that they do not miss this season fishing. we can't see this good for big salmon fishing in a few years, so my suggestion would be to get out fishing while you can. this year, Ucluelet my rather than choice.
