Fly fishing is an ancient form of angling, best known as a method for fishing for trout and salmon, but nowadays it is used for a wide variety of species including bass, Pike, carp, as well as many species of salt water. California fishing day:
In 2009, the Golden State offers two free fishing days: 4 July and September 7. on those days you will be able to fish in all freshwater and waters of the ocean in California without purchasing a fishing licence.
